Hawaii Island Hoops is pleased to announce and welcome NBA Sacramento Kings Rookie Jon Brockman as its special guest/coach for the 2K10 College-Prep Basketball Camp to be held from May 31 – June 4, 2010 at the Kekuaokalani Gym in Kailua-Kona.
Brockman, 6’7, 255lb Center-Forward with the Kings, was an All-American at the University of Washington in 2008-09. Brockman was named a First-Team All-Pac 10 selection and recipient of the Chip Hilton Player of the Year Award, conferred to the nation’s top player demonstrating outstanding character, leadership, and athletic talent.
In 2009, Brockman was drafted by the NBA’s Sacramento Kings, with the 38th overall pick. He became the fifth player from Washington taken in the draft since 2005, joining Spencer Hawes, Brandon Roy, Bobby Jones and Martell Webster.
